Trula Howe
A contributor to Sherdog.com since 2012, Trula Howe has been a sports writer since 2007 for other publications including ABQ Sports Magazine, Knuxx Newspaper, US Combat Sports and Legacy Fights. She has been a fan of combat sports since she was a child, watching martial arts movies with Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris, Steven Seagal, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Wesley Snipes, etc.; also, watching Olympic and other worldwide competitions in martial arts and wrestling, and the first UFC videos that came out on VHS.
She loves writing, as it gives her the opportunity to meet new people and share their stories with the world.
She has an associates degree in Computer Science, is the mother of three daughters and a project admin for a local contractor; the interviews and fight coverage are a part-time hobby. Her other extracurricular activities include singing (in her church band and for events including fights, baseball games, local fiestas) working with local charity Los Ojos de la Familia, running, sports, outdoor activities, baking, reading, watching sci-fi and horror movies, trying new things, and regular activities with her kids.
