Shafir was still a person of intrigue ahead of her second Invicta appearance, largely due to her close association and friendship with former Strikeforce and UFC champion Ronda Rousey. None of it mattered to Leibrock, who destroyed “The Supernova From Moldova” in a cool 37 seconds. Shafir crashed to the canvas on the end of a stiff right hand and attempted a leg lock out of sheer desperation, leaving her face exposed in the process. Leibrock capitalized and pounded away with standing-to-ground right hands until Shafir was clinging to consciousness and referee Steve Mazzagatti had seen enough.
