Werdum’s Confidence at an All-Time High

Just ask Fabricio Werdum, who talked with Sherdog.com in New York City regarding his participation in Strikeforce’s heavyweight grand prix. The tournament kicks off this weekend at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, N.J., and will air live on HDNet (prelims, 8 p.m. ET) and Showtime (main card, 10 p.m. ET).

Coming off of his stunning performance against “The Last Emperor” in 2010, the Brazilian talks about his confidence coming into his rematch with Alistair Overeem, whom the grappling ace will toe the line with in April.

Werdum, winner of their first encounter in 2006, breaks down the fight and the obstacles that are between him and the Strikeforce's heavyweight title.
