Two of MMA’s top female competitors are set to square off when Bellator Fighting Championships rolls into Louisiana next month.
Megumi Fujii and Jessica Aguilar, widely regarded as the top 115-pound fighters in women’s MMA, have agreed to meet in a three-round, non-tournament affair at Bellator 69, promotion CEO Bjorn Rebney told MMARising.com on Monday.

Fujii, 37, once laid claim MMA’s most impressive unbeaten streak, racking up 22 straight wins before dropping a controversial split decision to Zoila Gurgel in Bellator’s third-season, 115-pound tournament final. Since then, the Japanese submission wiz has won three in a row, most recently tapping Spanish striker Karla Benitez on Dream's New Year's Eve card.
A member of Florida’s American Top Team, Aguilar has also embarked on a hot streak since dropping a close decision to Gurgel in September 2010. The 29-year-old Texan’s current four-fight roll has included victories over such highly regarded opponents as Lisa Ellis-Ward and Carla Esparza.
