“Your boy been out for a while. I’ve been busy working UFC Tonight, UFC on Fox, I just wrapped Escape Plan 2….I also did a movie in Tampa called The Favorites, so I’ve been keeping busy,” Woodley said. “As you guys have heard, ‘Champ Camp’ just kicked off. I can’t release who it is yet, but your boy is gonna be fighting in July. Stay tuned for details on that.
“This Sunday I’ll be working on a television show called Night
Shift on NBC. I’m staying busy, man. Doing one more film in New
Orleans, just working on my acting chops. And obviously training my
butt off.”

The UFC currently has five events scheduled for July. That includes pay-per-view events in UFC 213 on July 8 and UFC 214 on July 29. Neither event has an official headliner, although UFC President Dana White is hoping to book Michael Bisping’s middleweight title defense against Georges St. Pierre for UFC 213. Meanwhile, the long-awaited Daniel Cormier-Jon Jones rematch could be in the works for UFC 214, but again, nothing has been formally announced. The remaining events for that month include “The Ultimate Fighter 25” finale on July 7, UFC Fight Night 113 on July 16 and UFC on Fox 25 on July 22.
Woodley last appeared at UFC 209, where he garnered a majority decision triumph over Stephen Thompson in a widely panned championship rematch. The two men battled to a draw in the first meeting at UFC 205 last November. Woodley, who claimed welterweight gold with a first-round knockout of Robbie Lawler at UFC 201, is unbeaten in his last five Octagon appearances.
