UFC 168 Medical Suspensions: Silva, Barnett, Poirier, Gamburyan Face 6 Months
Anderson Silva faces a minimum of six months on the sideline after breaking his left leg in the UFC 168 main event this past Saturday.
The Nevada Athletic Commission released injury suspensions on Monday for the event, which took place at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Also facing a potential six months on the shelf is Josh Barnett, who lost to Travis Browne via first-round TKO in a featured heavyweight bout. “The Warmaster” must have a right facial fracture cleared by a doctor or he cannot compete until June 27.
Dustin
Poirier, who earned a first-round knockout of Diego
Brandao in the evening’s opening main card fight, must have his
right shoulder cleared by a doctor or face six months on the shelf.
Additionally, Manny
Gamburyan will need an MRI on his left knee and doctor
clearance to avoid a six-month suspension. Gamburyan lost a
unanimous decision to Dennis
Siver.

Dustin Poirier: suspended until 01/27/14 with no contact until 01/18/14; additionally must have right shoulder cleared by doctor or no contest until 06/27/14.
Diego Brandao: suspended until 02/11/14 with no contact until 01/27/14.
Chris Leben: suspended until 2/11/14 with no contact until 1/27/14 due to facial lacerations.
Gleison Tibau: suspended until 2/11/14 with no contact until 1/27/14 due to cut on right cheek.
Dennis Siver: suspended until 02/11/14 with no contact until 01/27/14 due to scalp lacerations.
Manny Gamburyan: suspended until 02/11/14 with no contact until 01/27/14; additionally must have MRI of left knee and be cleared by doctor or no contest until 06/28/14.
William Macario: must have right hand cleared by doctor or no contest until 06/28/14.
Bobby Voelker: suspended until 02/11/14 with no contact until 01/27/14 due to facial and scalp lacerations.
Estevan Payan: suspended until 02/11/14 with no contact until 01/27/14
