Chris Fields vs. Andrew Clamp Added to BAMMA 27 Card
The British Association of Mixed Martial Arts announced on Tuesday
that the co-main event for
BAMMA 27 will be a light heavyweight brawl between Chris
Fields and Andrew
Clamp.
Fields has recently turned around some bad luck inside the realm of combat as “The Housewives’ Choice” broke a 0-3-1 streak with a first-round submission of Dan Konecke at BAMMA 24 in February. The Irishman had previously won in September 2012 before stumbling in the pro ranks.
Clamp, meanwhile, is coming off a no contest against El Anwar
Bakary at ICE FC in October. Before that, “Vice” Clamp had run
roughshod over eight of his first nine opponents, losing only to
Lukasz
Klinger via armbar nearly a year ago.
BAMMA 27 will run in conjunction with the Bellator 169 card, as the BAMMA portion of the card will be headlined by the bantamweight championship between titlist Tom Duquesnoy and Alan Philpott while Ronnie Mann and Martin Stapleton will go at it for the featherweight crown.
Bellator 169/BAMMA 27 will go down inside 3Arena in Dublin and will be televised on Spike on Dec. 16 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
