Invicta FC 7 Weigh-In Results: Honchak, Smith Cleared for 125-Pound Title Main Event

Barb Honchak and Leslie Smith will do battle as planned in the Invicta FC 7headliner, as both women were given the green light at Friday’s pre-fight weigh-ins.

The reigning Invicta Fighting Championships flyweight titlist, Honchak stepped on the scale at 124.25 pounds, while Smith checked a half pound heavier at 124.75.

Invicta FC 7 takes place Saturday night from the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Kansas City, Mo., and will also see Carla Esparza (114) defend her strawweight belt against Claudia Gadelha (114) in the co-main event. Meanwhile, Lauren Murphy (134) and Miriam Nakamoto (134.75) will collide over the inaugural Invicta bantamweight title.

The event streams live via pay-per-view on InvictaFC.com and will additionally feature the promotional debut of Bellator veteran Felice Herrig (114.5), as “Lil’ Bulldog” collides with Tecia Torres (114). Unbeaten Scottish talent Joanne Calderwood (115) will also appear on the card, squaring off with fellow undefeated strawweight Katja Kankaanpaa (114.75).
