"California Kid" and Franca talk WEC on "Beatdown"

Thursday's "Beatdown" focuses on lower weight fighters. Urijah Faber (Pictures) joins TJ De Santis and Sherdog.com editor Josh Gross to discuss his fight against WEC bantamweight champion Cole Escovedo (Pictures) on Friday's WEC "Undisputed" card.

Earlier this week the International Fight League announced Faber would fight on its inaugural show, but the former college wrestler seems to be uncertain of this. Find out why it looks like the "California Kid" won't be competing for the IFL on April 29.

Fighting on Friday is Hermes Franca (Pictures), who talks about his opponent, WEC lightweight champ Gabe Ruediger (Pictures). Franca had a tough 2005, losing all three of his bouts last year. Hermes discusses his new training camp and what he is doing to reestablish himself as one of the best lightweight fighters in the world.
