Frank Shamrock & Josh Thomson on "Beatdown"

Shamrock and Gracie, parties in a grudge match that began when mixed martial arts came to North America in 1993, are names associated with legends and athletes who have helped the sport evolve and grow.

Friday night the two families collide again at the HP Pavillion in San Jose, Calif. when Frank Shamrock (Pictures) battles Cesar Gracie in the Golden State's first regulated MMA event. Shamrock joins "Beatdown" host TJ De Santis and Sherdog.com editor Josh Gross to talk about his career and pending bout.

Along with Shamrock, lightweight fighter Josh Thomson (Pictures) talks about his upcoming fight on the same card against XFO lightweight champion Clayton Guida (Pictures). Thomson discusses fighting in his home state, his layoff in the sport of MMA, and when he will return to PRIDE.

Also on this Thursday's show, a fiesty De Santis tries to prove to Gross that he knows his stuff. The two gentlemen debate the latest on goings in the sport.
